About the park

On October 23, 2017, China’s Dalian local government and the UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) agreed to support the building of a Park that would set out to showcase and support UK’s rich technology based organisations, in the Dalian Huayuankou Economic Zone.
The aim is to provide a true “Home-from-Home” for UK companies - particularly those in Advanced Manufacturing, New Materials and Transport. The Park will offer the very best in support services and facilities and in that way, reduce the perceived risks of UK companies moving operations into China.
It sets out to firstly attract the UK’s world-class automotive sector to better engage with the world’s largest automotive market.
In particular the target is to provide the best and most supportive environment for companies to focus on development and production of new energy vehicles (NEVs), connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs), undertake R&D in powertrain development, introduce the UK’s world leadership in motorsport and collaboratively work on all areas of automobile sector technology and transport innovation.
